When we developed a digital marketing strategy for Get Right PT, a primary focus was building a Google Pay-Per-Click (PPC) campaign. Ranking well and staying relevant on Google Search is a necessity in 2025. We were able to create a low-cost PPC campaign that delivered significant revenue for a small business.

The biggest challenge for locally owned businesses is competing with national companies that have massive marketing budgets. Fortunately, Google has updated its algorithm to prioritize local, relevant results which means you don’t have to triple your budget just to compete.

After thorough keyword research, we set a max monthly budget of $25. Google recommended $50, but that wasn’t feasible at the time, so we zeroed in on choosing the right keywords. Focusing on the specific services they offer followed by a city name plays right into Google's algorithm. 

And the results? 11,898 impressions and 81 clicks in just one week. Four new clients that generated four-figure revenue.

Let me repeat that last part: four figures of revenue from just a $25 ad spend.

Is it still a challenge to compete with large, publicly traded companies? Absolutely. They can outspend local businesses with ease, but the return percentage isn’t nearly the same for them. Smaller, strategic investments can outperform big budgets if done correctly.
